                                    NEWS & SHOW RESULTS

It is hard to believe that fall has arrived and the holidays are not far away.  2009 has been an exciting
year for the YNot family, both here in New Mexico as well as in Wisconsin. As we finish this year, we are
already looking forward to 2010 and what it will bring. But let us review 2009 to date and all the good
happenings within the YNot family.

In September, we added a new addition to our New Mexico YNot pack, a lovely 8 wk old black tri girl.  We
are excited to have this little one and thus have given her a name to live up to.  She is to be known as
YNot Expect Great Things of Sherbil.  Her call name is Kohl. This name is pending approval by ASCA
and AKC.  Kohl will be kept busy learning to keep up with her kennel buddies.  Kohl debuted at the 2009
Nationals.  Although young, Kohl competed at the High Plains Pre Show in the Puppy Sweepstakes
where she placed second in the 2-4 puppy class being judged by Carol Ann Hartenagle.

Dusty, Ch. YNot Follow in My Dust, finished his ASCA CD at the Mesquite show in March.  At the same
shows, Hyland’s Cleared to Land at YNot, aka, Skye took back to back Reserves in Intact Conformation.
Then in August Skye went Winner Bitch at the ASANM show under ASCA Provisional Breeder Judge
Debbie Henderson of Texas. This gave Skye an additional 2 pts toward her Ch. Title.  Then at the Three
Pines Show in mid August, she added a 5 pt. major under Judge Russell McFadden. She now needs 5
more pts., and one major to complete her title.  Not to be outdone, Picabo, Alt. Ch. YNot Caught Ya
Looking, entered the altered conformation show ring in Feb.  She started her career out with WB and
BOB wins.  In May she completed her Alt. Ch. Title under Breeder Judge Janet White. By the end of May,
Picabo was ranked number 16th in the country in the altered breed wins.   This made her eligible to
attend the Altered Finals at the 2009 Nationals in Greeley, CO in Sept.-Oct.

Not to be outdone, the YNot dogs in Wisconsin were busy accumulating performance titles. Under
Gayle’s training and guidance, Cadi, Ledgerock Cadence O The Nite, competed in AKC Rally and earned
her Rally Novice title.   Meagan trained and handled Northland Hot August Knight, aka, Augie to both his
ASCA CD and his AKC Rally Novice titles.  Both Gayle and Meagan are now training their dogs towards
their advanced titles. Cya, Sherbil’s Caught Ya Looking @YNot, was busy training in Obedience and
Intact Conformation.  She debuted in Conformation at the
Winnegamie Kennel Club earning the Reserve
Winners Bitch win.  Then in September, Gayle introduced Cya to stock. Cya thought the sheep were
great and earned her Herding Instinct Certificate.  When weather in Wisconsin allows, Cya and Gayle will
be seen training on herding stock as well as other venues.

The ASCA Nationals were held in Greeley, CO at the end of Sept. and the first week of Oct.  Earl and I
drove up to Greeley and met Gayle and Meagan.  We took Skye, Picabo, and our newest youngster, Kohl
with us.  They brought Cadi, Augie and Cya.  We all had a grand time competing in the various venues
being offered.  A bonus was being able to also visit with our daughter Leslie and her family, who live in
Greeley.  A mini family reunion was in force for the entire week.
